BEFORE THE TATTOO

Before coming to the studio, it is important that you had a night with good sleep. The skin, after being in contact with the needle for some time, can cause a higher lever of stress, which is normal reaction of your body to the pain.
Without being well rested, this stress can lead to irritability or anxiety.
It is also important to have eaten well. The tattoo requires a lot of concentration, both from the tattooist and the tattooed person. It is a meditative process for both, where you give yourself to the process with body and soul. This is more complicated with an empty stomach, isn’t it?

AFTER THE TATTOO

Inside the studio you are totally protected. All the objects have been sterilized with 70% alcohol or are disposables. Furthermore, I use a vegan ink made of vegetable glycerine. When leaving the studio, it is your responsibility to prevent any type of inflammation or infection. For this won’t happen, I will inform you about the care you should do for a healthy would healing.
1. When you come home you will still have the plastic that I placed in the studio. Leave it for 3 or 4 more hours. After this time, take it away and wash the skin with a mild soap (baby-soap or antibacterial soap) using cold water and dry it with paper. Remember that bath towels can be polluted when not recently washed.
2. Hydrate the skin with Bepantol or coconut oil, later I will explain which is the best for each skin type. Place again a new plastic foil for your first night. Remember that your skin is still open and the bed linen can cause serious problems like pain, irritability, allergy or inflammation.
3. Now we come to your first day with the new tattoo, everything is nice, the sun is shining, birds are singing and my tattoo… all smudgy!!!
But don’t panic! During the night, the skin can sweat or excessive ink can appear on the plastic. Just wash your skin again with the mild soap and hydrate it. This time, the plastic isn’t necessary anymore. Though, the clothing you use should be clean and should not rub. If you have the tattoo on your doll or ankle, use the plastic foil for 3 more days when you’re out in the street or working on a desktop. Remember to be careful where you lean your doll, because there are bacteria everywhere.
After this initial care, you should keep your skin hydrated for at least 2 more weeks. The secret is that it doesn’t dries out or produces much crusts, all of this will affect the final result of the lines. It doesn’t matter if you hydrate the skin 2 or 10 times a day, the only important thing is that it is always shiny.
Be aware of: dog and cat hairs, public transport and dirty clothing.

DO NOT’S

First week of your tattoo:
Gym, extreme sports or activities that cause an excessive elasticity on the region. Scratching, direct sunlight (use a sheet to cover if you can’t avoid it), seawater or swimming-pools, moisturizing cream with perfume or sun blocker.

WHAT PRODUCTS TO USE

Washing: a mild soap or baby-soap
For hydrating I always recommend coconut-oil. It has a sty time of about three hours, so you should always have a bit on you and discipline yourself to hydrate the skin as often as possible. In case your skin is very dry or you don’t have much time, you can also use bepantol creme (Bepanthen antiseptische Wundcreme). Even so, try not to abuse pharmaceutical products and use coconut oil or other vegetable oils or fats in between.

Even if you have any inflammatory process after this care, in other words the tattoo is blotchy after a few days, go to the pharmacy and by 70-% alcohol. You can also use the mild soap and hydrate the double than before and then wait for the healing. In cases of inflammation, not related to technical aspects of the tattoo, retouches will be charged and this information will be sent to you by e-mail when asking for an appointment to evaluate the tattoo.

THAT´S ALL! BIG HUG!
